top stories we are following on this saturday. a toddler remains missing this morning after being kidnapped on wednesday. two people are dead and another injured after a shooting at the jewlerymart in san francisco. a suspect is now in custody. we'll have the details and jury deliberations are underway in the george zimmerman trial. we'll have a recap of the closing arguments. good morning and thanks for joining us on this saturday july 13th. i'm rob fladeboe, marty gonzalez is off this weekend. we'll get to our top stories in just a moment but first lets check in with janu for your weekend forecast. >> does a little bit of a

on brannan street. he then shot a man and woman with a revolver.and attacked a second woman with an edged weapon. both women were pronounced dead on scene. the man was taken to a hospital where he is in criticalut stable condition. after the shooting, police chief greg suhr says the suspect, covered in blood, ran outside. >> ".discarded the revolver, and surrendered." at this time, police have not said anything about a motive. investigators say the suspect didn't have any noticable items from the arrested. a woman who witnessed the chaos spoke to kron four. connie angland says she had planned on going into a store next door to the jewelry mart when shots rang out. >> i was in my car parking and i heard gunshots so i

ducked in my car and thought i was one to die. >> then i saw a woman running with her baby ducking down appeared we stood in the doorway and watched everything that was happening. >> the police arrive so quickly and the ambulances came and everyone had their guns out. >> .efficient they were initially police believed the suspect may have had an accomplice. acted alone. his name was not released. in another developing story this morning. a third victim in the asiana plane crash at s-f-o has died. a spokesperson at san francisco general hospital say the victim, a young girl, died yesterday morning from her injuries. her name has not been released.

and the san francisco fire department confirms that one of the teenage girls killed in the crash was hit by a firetruck heading to the scene. the teen was not seen because she was reportedly covered in firefighting foam. and the planes wreckage has been removed from runway 2- 8 left. that runway is now open and flights are landing there. kron 4's solo reporer yoli aceves joins us live now from sfo. good morning yoli. fiat >> what you see here now is the wreckage. >> i stop by and talk to a couple people and ask them what are their feelings about the runway says it is now reopened appeared >> i am very happy that they pulled display off for the run rate. >> we have a person's life today that has no phone in his life and he was scared to death. malign i'm glad

given the task of dividing up donations received after the connecticut school shootings is making its preliminary recommendations. the foundation wants 281- thousand-dollars to go to each of the families of the 26 children and educators killed at sandy hook the families of 12 surviving children who witnessed the shootings would each get 20-thousand- dollars, and two teachers who were injured would get 150-thousand-dollars between them. the money was raised with the help of the united way.

live look outside. james lick freeway after weeks of speculation. edward snowden has finally made an appearance on camera in russia. it happened at the moscow airport where he has been staying since leaving hong kong. this is the first video of edward snowden since he arrived at moscow's sher-uh- met-yay-vo airport. he's been camping out somewhere in the transit area for almost three weeks. friday, he invited a group of russian human rights activists to meet him. those activists say snowden now officially wants but only temporarily. >> "his plans are to move on. he wants to move on to latin america but he feels the only way he's going to be safe in russia is to get asylum in this country." "he says the united states, the us government will do whatever it takes not to let him go to latin american countries." snowden withdrew an earlier application for asylum in russia. because president vladimir putin said he would have to stop political activity aimed at hurting the united states. but those who met with him friday say he now promises to meet that condition. at least 28 people now

confirmed dead after a train crash and explosion in quebec, canada. and another 22 people are presumed but not confirmed dead after last saturday's crash. the driverless train carrying tank cars rolled out of control, exploding in an inferno. authorities say the fire may have "vaporized" the victims. they're calling it the worst north american rail disaster in 24 years. the train's engineer says he set hand brakes on the train but railway executives are questioning whether the engineer indeed did that. authorities are investigating another deadly train crash, this one south of paris. passenger train jumped the it happened right as the southbound train was passing through a station. at least six-people were killed and 22-others injured. many of the 370-passengers were heading home or on vacation. there's word a rail- switching device near the site may had been malfunctioning. outside this morning from the golden gate bridge. your saturday forecast r >> this is a view from our

worries that more police officers are going to leave the already thin police department in search of better pay. this comes after an arbitrator sided with the city and refused to restore a 10-percent pay cut imposed on officers back in 2011 amid the city's budget woes. roughly 150- officers have already left the department in the past 18- months. now the police officer's union believes others will follow suit since the pay cut was upheld. .are already outdated >> the city is hoping a more modest pay hike will get the bargaining table but so far it has refused. >>

a community foundation given the task of dividing up donations received after the connecticut school shootings is making its preliminary recommendations. the foundation wants 281- thousand-dollars to go to each of the families of the 26 children and educators killed at sandy hook elementary school last year. the families of 12 surviving children who witnessed the shootings would each get 20-thousand-dollars, and two teachers who were injured would get 150- thousand-dollars between them. the money was raised with the help of the united way.

the changes made by the department since that tragic chief rainey says bart police have changed many policies and procedures, and increased training for personnel. police are warning that hundreds of tainted meatballs found recently in san francisco's twin peaks and diamond heights levels of strychnine. strychnine is a colorless, crystalline poison that is potentially lethal to humans. the meatballs are believed to have been left to kill dogs and one dog that ate dachshund named oskar, died thursday night. anyone who encounters the meatballs is advised to call 9-1-1 and only to handle them if absolutely necessary with heavy gloves as the poison can be absorbed through the skin. reports of the meatballs
